What:The OCSB Chamber Choir is an honours group of high school students, an extension of the OCSB Children’s Choir now under the direction of Carla MacGregor and Jamie Loback
Since 1998, this Choir has gained a reputation for fine ensemble work in a variety of styles. They have sung at various Board functions, at National events such as the opening of the
Canadian War Museum and its Remembrance Day Concert Series, the Olympic Torch Relay, the 60 th Anniversary of D-Day, in the Senate Chamber of the Houses of Parliament and at
the Closing Ceremonies of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. The choir also competes in choral competitions and participates in several fund raising concerts a year. In 2015-16,
the choir helped raise over $7500.00 for the Heron Road Emergency Food Cupboard and St.Joe’s Supper Table. The Chamber Choir works under an executive team managed by
MaryAnn Dunn, founder of the Board Choir program.
When: They practice every Monday evening from 7:45 – 9:15 pm
Where: St. Basil’s Church, Maitland at the Queensway. Transportation to and from rehearsals is the responsibility of the parents.
Who: All high school students in the OCSB are eligible Students must be prepared to be punctual in attending regular rehearsals, to meet requirements to memorize performance music,
and to display professional behaviour at all times.

contacted by email in late May for an early June audition Candidates must come to their audition with a prepared piece, and will be asked to do some musical exercises such as echo
singing and clapping. Results will be sent out by email in mid June We invite you to hear the Chamber Choir in concert on Sat. June 4, 2016 at Sacred Heart High School, 7:30 pm.
