Today's Shelter in Place

Dear Parent or Guardian,

Your Child may mention that our school had some kind of incident today.

Our school email address received a worrisome, anonymous message. We collaborated with our partners at the Ottawa Police Service and our School Resource Officer. As a purely precautionary measure, we put the school into a protective mode called "Shelter in Place".

This means that every exterior door to the school is locked and monitered but that the routine inside the school remained the same with movement between classes unimpeded.

We continue to work closely with our police partners and will continue to ensure the safety of your child at school.

If your student expresses any concerns about today, the best thing you can do as a parent is to engage them in conversation.

If you, as a parent have any concerns, I encourage you to call me. The safety and well-being of your child is our number one priority.

Sincerely,

Gerard Stephenson
