IMPORTANT: Student Schedules
Please note that preparing for the first day of school at St. Mother Teresa High School is a multi-layered process that involves many people. Our team is experienced and on track for a successful opening. We kindly ask students and parents to refrain from individualized requests regarding schedules during the time leading up to the first day of school on September 3rd.
Please note any information students may 'know' about their schedule is not confirmed as adjustments are continually being made in the days leading up to the opening of school. Student schedules will be posted in my.studentinfo.ca on Monday, September 2nd.
Grades 11-12: Students are expected to follow their posted schedule, even if they want to request a course change. Please note that not all requests for course changes can be accommodated due to class sizes, timetable fit and course availability. Course Change Request forms will be available in Student Services starting, Tuesday, September 3rd.
Grades 9 & 10: Students are not permitted to change their elective courses. As shared many times during the course selection process, students must take the elective course they requested.
7&8: A great deal of time and consideration has gone into creating balanced classes by our staff in collaboration with our feeder schools. For this reason, we do not accommodate class change requests. Additionally, we recognize that students are currently able to view schedules in Hapara. Please note that this information is not accurate at this time, so please disregard it. Students will be able to review the correct version of their schedule at the end of the day on Friday, August 30th. Homerooms reflect an intentional approach to balance the numbers of students across both grades and language programs.

Dual Credit Program for additional elective credit
The Dual Credit program is a high school/college initiative where high school students are enrolled in apprenticeship training and/or a college course. Upon successful completion of the college learning requirements, students earn credits towards both their high school diploma and their college education. It is also a great opportunity to gain a better understanding of the field of study as well as a college experience. This program is recommended for students in grade 11 or 12. Please visit https://www.algonquincollege.com/ap/courses/ for courses available. For applications and/or more information, please see your Guidance Counsellor.
